Failed batteries no longer need to be sent straight back to the manufacturer for refurbishment*. Simply connect them to the HE96000. The system will attempt to recover the battery using a combination of trickle charging, bulk charging, de-sulfation, and load testing. If the battery is recovered it will be indicated as good and ready to be placed on a locomotive. The next time a locomotive comes into the shop with a bad battery simply exchange that battery for a recovered battery on the conditioner**. Batteries left on the conditioner are maintained through occasional charging until needed.
*Some Batteries are beyond the capability of the HE96000 and need manufacturer attention **Batteries must be serviced before and after conditioning. Do not use batteries that have not been properly serviced. See the manual for more information. ***The system cycles through each battery connected to it automatically once they are entered into the system. Charging / load testing is not performed on multiple batteries simultaneously. Please refer to the manual for more information.
